First, I'm Myrtle Akers grandson, Gerldine Stephens is my mother.
With that said, it was great to see so many people that are part of my childhood memories, and reunite with them. I'll certainly be anxious to see and talk to all of the family again.
It was also great to see my mom enjoy herself for a change. Between my sister's failing health and giving up her car she doesn't get out much or have much fun.
I am also very interested in my genealogy, so the Brakebill gene logy was great to see. I would love to have a copy but that doesn't seem likely. I would love to pursue the Root/Ryan genealogy with you, or perhaps I should say through you? My wife knows so much of her ancestry, I'm so jealous.
I certainly hope we can attend this year. I want to help if I can. With us living in TN and having to go KC to pick up mom, being there to help before or after is problematic. But whatever I could do during the reunion and perhaps helping with $$?

Thank you for posting to our blog. If you don't know yet I am a huge family history & genealogy nut. Most of the family would say don't get her started. The story's is what makes the names & dates come alive. Our cousin John Johnson & Roy Ryan are other cousins who has gathered a lot of information.
Each of our family lines are full of a colorful history. We come from a strong line of people.
Did you get the DVD set at the reunion? It has quite a lot of information on it.

The only dvd I have is the family pictures. Guess I was to busy "catching up" and missed an oppertunity to get the "set". Is that dvd set still available? Who would I contact?
I would like to have a long conversation with you about our family. I promise I would take notes, or, I would be more than willing to pay you for a copy of all your hard work.
